Sheila had been swimming for several hours above the expanse of sea weed. Greens of many shades rippled below her in the soft currents of the wide ocean. It may have been full of plant life, but so far had ben devoid of other animals. Sheila looked around again, there were no shadows in the distance indicating the prescence of other animals. With time they would come, she knew that.
Sheila looked down at the sea weed. Too bad she was a meat eater, for it looked delicious. Should she try some? No, she was not that silly. But how tasty, if only she could stomach it. Sheila snapped herself out of her daze, for she thought she could at last se a shadow appear in the distance. Gathering speed, she swam towards the darker patch in the sea.

A splash, A breath of air, slipping back into the water, she let her eyes take in the wonderous seaweed. Of course it was not on her diet....but it was so pretty to look at. She swam easily, her fins moving slowly as she let the water rush over her fur in a silky cacoon. She blew out a few bubbles, moving along with the seaweed slightly, waving along in the ocean almost as if dancing with them. A giggle raced through her mind as she lept out of the water, breathing deeply, then plunging back into the watery goodness. Oh the feel of the water around her. But this was some place new, some where that she had never been to before. She paused and let her eyes wander over the area...it was lovely...open and wide. Maybe she could find someone to explore with her here...
She raised her head to the surface once more, taking a look of her surroundings and breathed deeply, lowering her head once more to swim playfully among the sand and sea. Someone was sure to see her playing and sure to want to join it...at least that is what she thought to herself.

Reaching and stretching now, Sheila swam faster than she had before. One could only take so long on their own, and she was so curious to meet the dark spot.
Eventually it took shape, and eventually some colour. It appeared to be a creature similar to her, but definitely NOT of her species. It was a sealion, she took notice as she grew closer, but definitely not one from anywhere she had ever been or seen. Curious to learn, she swam lithely around the seaweed, twisting her body to match and mimic that of the Sealion. Finally she decided to speak to her, games like this would go on forever, it was time to be aquainted. guday! Sheila started in her thick australian drawl, " I be an aussie sealion by the name of Sheila, and what lands to you hail from?

She raised her head to look at the other sealion. No she was not quite like her, but similiar. "I am Cally, a California Sea Lion. I was born in Monterey Bay." Her voice was upbeat, not a clear accent to it at all. She flicked her whiskers towards Sheila and blew tiny bubbles, raising up to the surface to take a deep breath before letting her shoulders slip back under the water again. She flipped her fins once, twice, then sped off in a playful game of tag, encourging Sheila to follow along. She slipped in and among the seaweed with ease, careful to not become entangled in it.
She let her body flatten somewhat as she sped up to take a leap out of the water. She rose out of the water with ease, then flopped back into the water, a perfect belly flop. She giggled softly, and turned around, headed back to Sheila.

Sheila's new friend was not as talkative as what one would expect fron a sealion, especially as they were inquisitive by nature. It did not bother Sheila, however, for there were plenty of opportunities to talk later, and what sort of a sea lion would she be to turn down some frollicking with a new friend such as this?
She watched as the sea lion jumped out of the water. That was one trick that she had neglected to learn back home, perhaps she could have her teach her how some time. Thoughts forgotten, Sheila swam with playful abandon away from the new sea lion, daring her into persuit with ducking and swerving inbetween the seaweed that was drifting lazily in the water. Sheila watched behind to see whether she was following or not, and unable to see the sealion, she twisted herself downwards and dived deep, unsure as to why she had decided to do so.
OOC: man, it is SO hard to RP sea creatures when you are used to horses XD
